In 1958, VERAGE was founded in Manchester by William Moore, who was born to a family of harness crafters. In the 1950s, a travel craze caught on among young people in UK, and William, who was also a travel lover, thought the old-fashioned and bulky leather trunks were not suitable for young travelers. Later in1957, a trip across Europe shed some light. After returning to Manchester, in the next year, he designed and made a suitcase targeted at young travelers, by leveraging the exquisite craftsmanship handed down in his family, and named it VERAGE after his beloved horse, which means “Young Winner, Fearless Fighter”.
Featuring lightweight, durability and simplicity, the first collection of VERAGE suitcases soon won over local young consumers. Since then, VERAGE has accompanied young people across 86 countries and regions in their trips for more than 60 years. In 2020, VERAGE launched a new campaign Go Far with Me and embarked on a new journey with millions of travelers across the world.
